Accelerator Workshop August 2023

Set in the lush biological corridor of Costa Rica, this 10-day hands-on Accelerator Workshop provided an intensive immersion into tropical soil food web restoration. Designed for students fast-tracking their progress through the Soil Food Web Complete Practicum, this program combined classroom theory with daily field and lab practice alongside expert mentors. Participants learned to evaluate local tropical feedstocks, construct thermophilic BioComplete™ compost piles under high-humidity conditions, brew biological liquid inoculants (compost teas and extracts), and master optical microscopy. The collaborative environment gave students real-time troubleshooting experience while building lifelong connections within the international soil restoration community.
